A former revise editor of the Irish News, John Foster, has died. He was 68.
John held a number of senior posts in the features and production departments of the Belfast-based paper during his long career.
He underwent a triple heart bypass operation while in his early 60s, but made a full and successful return to work before retiring in 1997.
Irish News editor Noel Doran said: “`John was a legend in the paper. He made a massive contribution down the years, and always had a welldeveloped sense of mischief. He will be sadly missed by all his colleagues.”
