Cut was launched in August
Up to 25 editorial jobs appeared to be under threat this week as HBauer said it was reviewing the future of the newly launched Cut magazine, writes Sarah Lagan .
On Wednesday the company entered a 30-day period of consultation with staff regarding the title’s future.
Launched just three months ago into the men’s weekly sector, it was meant to compete with IPC’s Nuts and Emap’s Zoo.
Bauer’s managing director, David Goodchild, said: “We currently have no comment to make on the future of Cut. The process of consultation is an internal matter for discussion and only when a conclusion is reached will there be any further comment.”
Cut is edited by SimonGeller. It was billed as a weekly round-up for men featuring news, entertainment, sports, gadgets, reviews, television and humour.
