Jason Lewis has left the Mail on Sunday after 16 years to join the Sunday Telegraph as investigations editor.
The current MoS Whitehall and security editor was named specialist journalist of the year at the British Press Awards this year for stories which include the new head of MI6 being ‘outed’ by his wife on the internet.
He said: “The Mail on Sunday has given me great support and enormous opportunities to pursue an incredible range of stories, but I am now looking forward to the new challenges ahead on The Sunday Telegraph.”
Sunday Telegraph editor Ian MacGregor said: “Jason is a fantastic reporter and his appointment underlines The Sunday Telegraph’s commitment to agenda-setting stories and investigations.”
