ITV News launches citizen journalism website

ITV News is to attempt to create a UK network of "citizen correspondents" on itv.com with the launch of a new website, Uploaded.

The broadcaster said it would put citizen journalism at "the very heart of its editorial agenda" with viewers' contributions becoming an integral part of all three ITV News daily bulletins.

Citizen correspondents will be encouraged to upload or email mobile and webcam clips to the website – the best will be aired on ITV News bulletins on ITV1.

Registered users on itv.com will receive daily emails from the ITV News team, inviting them to contribute.
