Island rocks

By Press Gazette

Five reporters at the Isle of Wight County Press enjoyed the perks of the job covering the island’s annual rock festival for a special supplement, writes Sarah Lagan.

The team worked around the clock from Friday to Sunday covering acts including David Bowie, The Who and the Stereophonics.

Some 45,000 copies of the 16-page, colour supplement were sold inside the County Press.

Editor Brian Dennis said: “It was a fantastic team effort. We expect the festival to grow and we will continue doing our job of reporting it in the best way we can.”
