The Embassy of Ireland is to host the Journalists’ Charity reception at which a senior Government minister is traditionally among the guests.
The reception, for members, supporters and friends of the Charity – formerly the Newspaper Press Fund – will take place from 6-8pm on Tuesday 14 November.
Held in previous years at Australia House in London, the reception is now to be hosted by the Ambassador of Ireland, Dáithí O’Ceallaigh, at 17 Grosvenor Place, London SW1.
Journalists’ Charity chairman Nicholas Jones commented: “We are overwhelmed by the generosity of the Ambassador in offering to sponsor one of the important events in the charity’s calendar. It helps enormously in raising our profile at a time when we are busy raising funds to pay for the rebuilding of the Charity’s care home at Dorking, Surrey.”
The reception has in the past regularly been attended by the Prime Minister of the day.
A limited number of tickets at £20 each are available from the Charity on 01306 887511; e-mail: enquiries@journalistscharity.org.uk
