The Dublin-based
Irish Daily Star has struck a deal to sell the newspaper via vending
machines at park-and-ride stops on the city’s Luas light rail transport
system. Passengers can buy credit for the machines online, by text
message on their mobile phones or with cash. The Star is joint owned by
Independent News and Media and Express Newspapers. The paper costs
€1.20 and has a circulation of 101,050.
