IPC Media has refused to comment about what is expected to be its biggest ever launch, Project Honey, a new weekly women’s title.
The project represents an £18m investment across its first two years and is expected to be a rival to Emap’s Grazia, aimed at 18- to 30-year-old women ‘living out their decade of indulgence”. The title or date for the launch are yet to be revealed. Project Honey is led by IPC Connect managing director Evelyn Webster, with former More editor Ali Hall as editor. Press Gazette has learned that the Sun’s fashion assistant Saskia Quirke is joining the fashion team. Jane Bruton, editor of Grazia, told Press Gazette: ‘Anything that stimulates interest in the weekly gossip market is good. I like a bit of competition.”
