Wolstenholme:maternity leave
The editorship of Liverpool’s morning paper, the Daily Post, is being kept in the family next year when Jane Wolstenholme takes maternity leave.
Her husband Jon Brown, currently deputy editor of the Post’s sister evening title, the Liverpool Echo, is to take over as acting editor.
The Daily Post has enjoyed a circulation boost since undergoing a radical relaunch in March.
Wolstenholme said: “The last 12 months have been an incredibly fast moving and exciting time at the paper and the team here have achieved a great deal to be proud of, particularly since our relaunch in March.
“But the Daily Post is in good hands and I am certain Jon and the rest of the team will be very successful at building on recent achievements while I am away.”
