How to pitch to Stuff magazine

By Press Gazette

Pitch to: Fraser Macdonald, Simon Osborne-Walker or Will Findlater.

Type of article: Primarily, reviews of products. We don’t run wordy features here at Stuff.

Topics: Interesting gadgets and consumer technologies.

How to pitch: Via email – a short summary, initially, and if we contact you for more detail, that’s when you should follow up.

What will impress: We’re always impressed by exclusive products, technologies that are new to us and – in all cases – a sense of humour.

What won’t impress: Pushiness and a fundamental misunderstanding of the magazine. If you’ve read it, you’ll know what sort of thing will appeal to us.

Rate: It varies, depending on whether you need to source products and images and how much research you’re going to have to put in, but 25p per word is a good guide.
