Baby & You: building bigger brand
Highbury House Communications is to merge Baby & You with its Pregnancy title and is currently undergoing a consultation period to decide the future of Baby & You ‘s three editorial staff.
The move follows the closure of Women’s Health in October.
The company will also be closing its office at Highbury Corner and transferring staff to another Highbury building in Old Street.
Editorial director Sally O’Sullivan said the closure was part of a programme of rationalisation intended to build bigger brands. She said: “We found our readers wanted both to be able to read about pregnancy and then into the first 10 months of their babies’ lives.
“It means we can get greater coverage in one magazine.”
O’Sullivan said the publisher would move into a new phase in 2005 in which titles would be launched and existing ones relaunched.
In April, Real Homes , Home and Inspirations for Your Home would be relaunched by the team behind Living etc , she added
