The Guild of Health Writers is inviting entries for its writing awards.
The awards, which will take place at the Foreign Press Association on 11 October, have five categories, with prizes totalling £7,000.
The main categories are best consumer health writer and best trade/ specialist writer.
Other categories include best freelance writer, best writer aged under 25 and best contributor to online health.
The winners of the two main categories will be awarded prizes of £1,500, with a £500 prize for the runners-up.
The winners of the remaining categories will each be given £1,000.
