I wonder if your overview of the nation’s press can help in my
quest? Or whether you might be able to suggest a way of finding the
answer?
I’m trying to find out if the Evening Star’s appeal for
burns sufferer Terri Calvesbert (Press Gazette, 5 August) is the most
successful appeal launched by a local newspaper in England for an
individual.
The appeal has certainly exceeded all our expectations.
As
readers across the world heard of Terri’s plight the money flooded in,
and seven years later people are still making donations.
You might have seen her on TV too.
The fund now stands at an incredible £376,000 for this little girl’s future.
