Hachette Filipacchi marketing head takes on digital director role

Hachette Filipacchi UK has given head of marketing Anna Jones the additional duties of acting digital director. Jones replaces Dave Killeen, who resigned from his role as digital director at Hachette in February to take up a new role at eFinancialCareers.com

Jones will oversee the company’s digital operations as well as continuing her duties in the management of the marketing department. She joined Hachette from Emap in March 2005 as head of marketing for the women’s group and was given marketing responsibility for Hachette’s entire portfolio three months later.

The move follows the company’s acquisition of entertainment news site Digital Spy. Jones will manage the editorial and technical teams working on Hachette’s digital portfolio which in addition to Digital Spy includes ELLEuk.com and Sugarscape.com, both launched last year. The digital division also consists of sites for Hachette’s magazine brands such as Psychologies and Red Direct.

Jones said: “I am delighted to be managing the digital department at such an exciting time for the company following our acquisition of Digital Spy last week. ELLEuk.com and Sugarscape.com are performing well in their sectors and I look forward to working with the teams to improve and develop all our sites further.”
