The Guardian has announced key changes in its foreign, arts and business sections as well as the Work, Rise and Office Hours supplements.
Editor of weekly entertainment listings supplement The GuideTim Lusher has become assistant features editor – a successor has yet to be appointed. Imogen Tilden, who joined the arts desk from Guardian Unlimited last August, has become commissioning editor for Arts and Film & Music, taking responsibility for the daily reviews page. Andrew Gilchrist has become deputy arts director.
Ian Wylie has been appointed editor of Work and Rise and Vicky Frost has been made editor of Office Hours. David Teather has become chief city reporter and Philip Inman has become business reporter.
South Africa correspondent Rory Carroll is moving to Caracas to cover Latin America and Israel correspondent Chris McGreal, is returning to Africa to replace him. McGreal will be replaced by Rory McCarthy.
Carroll joined the Guardian as a national news reporter and has become one of the foreign desks most experienced correspondents having reported from Rome, the former Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq and Africa.
