The breakfast television station, GMTV, has teamed up with the multimedia provider Roo to launch an online video portal for the broadcaster's website.
The portal will feature GMTV content, including a news channel and other sections covering showbiz, fashion and family health.
Each channel will feature clips from the morning broadcast, out-takes, behind-the-scenes footage and material from Roo's video content archive – all at a web-friendly length of around four minutes each.
Roo has launched similar services with print media including The Times, The Sun and The Mirror, and is now looking to do more work with television companies.
"We've done a lot of stuff in print, but TV is our next focal point," Roo's European senior vice president, Tony Martin, told Press Gazette.
