Future has announced its biggest online launches of 2006, with two computing and consumer electronics-focused websites.
Debuting this autumn, TechDaily (techdaily.co.uk) and TechTested (techtested.co.uk) will offer news and expert buying advice.
They will have 11 full-time staff, headed by editor Dean Evans and associate editor Rob Mead-Green, who report to group publisher Stuart Anderton.
The company is recruiting for technical and editorial positions at its offices in Bath and London.
TechDaily aims to become the UK’s number one website for consumer electronics and computing enthusiasts, and will be able to filter and choose content so users can create their own unique home page.
TechTested will offer advice before purchase and access Future’s computing and electronic product reviews, from magazines including PC Plus, Home
Cinema Choice and Total Mobile, to compile a page of content for each product.
Anderton said: “Much development time has been spent creating an innovative content management system, enabling us to fully filter and personalise the information offered to users.
“This can be as detailed or concise as users specify, also allowing fantastic targeted opportunities for advertisers and potential sponsors alike.”
