Andrew Hill has been appointed comment and analysis editor of the Financial Times. He will edit the features and the comment and analysis sections of the paper.
Hill has replaced John Gapper, who is now chief business commentator and associate editor. Hill was previously US business editor, based in New York. He joined the FT in 1998 and has held various positions including foreign news editor, Brussels correspondent and Milan correspondent.
Editor Andrew Gowers said: “I am delighted to have appointed someone with Andrew’s talent and breadth of international experience to this job at the heart of the paper.”
