FT rings new changes to line up

By Press Gazette

Chris Giles has been appointed the Financial Times ‘ economics editor and Dan Bogler head of the Lex, the paper’s business column.

Giles will lead the FT’ s coverage of the UK and world economy. He started at the FT in 2000 as a leader writer, and has recently re-joined the newspaper from Ofcom where he led the work on their review of public service broadcasting.

Dan Bogler returns to London from Hong Kong where he was Asian news editor. Bogler joined the FT as a Lex columnist in 1995, and has also been the financial editor for the FT’s sister title, Financial Times Deutschland.

Giles replaces Ed Crooks who has been made UK news editor, and Bogler replaces George Graham who has left to work for the Royal Bank of Scotland.
