Friday feeling for This is Brighton

By Press Gazette

This is Brighton, a what’s on events guide, is now being included in The Argus newspaper every Friday.

The magazine was launched by Newsquest, the publisher of The Argus, as a standalone fortnightly free, with a distribution of 18,000 in October 2002. Its print run will now go up to 50,000 each Friday.

To publicise the relaunch of This is Brighton, a huge poster depicting the magazine’s cover was unrolled down the front of the Embassy Court building in Brighton. The cover was drawn by cartoonist Jim Burke and featured famous Brighton and Hove residents Norman Cook, Zoe Ball, Paul McCartney, Heather Mills and Steve Coogan.

This is Brighton is edited by Argus journalist Jakki Phillips and covers gigs, comedy, film and theatre, food and drink, digital culture and sports.
