Former Heat man David Whitehouse joins Shortlist

Former Heat assistant editor David Whitehouse has joined free men’s magazine Shortlist as editor-at-large.

Shortlist editor Martin Robinson, the former NME deputy editor who joined the magazine in March, said Whitehouse had a long association with Shortlist.

‘David is one of the most talented writers around, and has recently had a big success with his first novel, Bed, the rights to which have just been bought by Film 4 and Warp Films,’said Robinson.

‘It’s a real coup to have recruited Dave for ShortList’s writing team, and I’m very excited about his future contributions.

‘He’ll mainly be writing reportage features for us which will give an extra dimension to ShortList’s features, and showcase Dave’s unique style.”

According to recent figures from the Audit Bureau of Circulation, Shortlist has a circulation of 523,665, up 1.1 per cent on last year, giving it the biggest circulation of any men’s magazine in the UK.
