Former Financial Times chief Justin Dukes dies

The man responsible for starting the Financial Times’s transformation from a London daily into a global newspaper in the Seventies has died from a heart attack, aged 67.

Justin Dukes was a former managing director at the FT before joining Channel 4 when it launched in 1982.
