Former England cricket coach Duncan Fletcher to join The Guardian

Departed England cricket team manager Duncan Fletcher has been signed up to write for The Guardian during this summer’s test series, according the Daily Mail’s sports diarist Charles Sale.

Cricket has produced perhaps more sportsmen-turned writers than most sports: former England and Lancashire cricket captain Michael Atherton last week took up his post as The Times’s cricket correspondent, following the departure of Christopher Martin-Jenkins.

Vic Marks, another former England international, writes for The Observer while Angus Fraser writes for The Independent.
