Pressing questions are being asked by the Daily Mail today: “Why are BBC reporters all wearing The North Face anoraks?”

The Mail, it seems, has spotted a large number of BBC News correspondents sporting North Face jackets. Evan Davis, Susan Watts, Keith Breene, Clive Myrie, David Grossman, Declan Curry, and Tom Symonds are apparently among the fashion victims.

The corporation insists it is all mere coincidence, and that no special deals are in place with the Canadian firm that makes the pricey outerwear.

“BBC insiders say producers are more likely to be spotted wearing jackets by rival outdoor specialists Berghaus and Helly Hansen,” the Mail exclusively reveals.
