Question: What do George Trefgarne and Neil Collins have in common?
Both are former City editors who once worked at Telegraph Towers in Canary Wharf. Trefgarne now takes a shilling from BP where he is a speechwriter, while Collins pens regular columns on the state of the financial markets for the Evening Standard. But it doesn’t end there, I’m told. Both are keen fishermen and have taken a share in a rod on the River Kennett.
However, with all the heavy rain that’s been pouring down in recent weeks, the two have opted instead to stay indoors ‒ for the time being at least.
