Fiona Dent appointed managing director of IPC Connect

By hannah

IPC Media has announced the appointment of Fiona Dent as managing director of Woman’s Weekly division, IPC Connect.

Charlie Meredith, the current publishing director of What’s on TV and TV Easy, will become managing director of IPC TX.

The appointments follow the announcement in December that IPC Media chief executive Evelyn Webster would become IPC chief executive from 1 January 2009, replacing Sylvia Auton.

Dent has been managing director of IPC TX since April 2007, leading brands including What’s on TV, TVTimes, and TV & Satellite Week.

Since joining IPC in 1992, she has held a variety of senior marketing and publishing roles, including publishing director of Country Life, Horse & Hound, and Wallpaper*.

Meredith joined IPC TX soon after the launch of What’s on TV in 1992, and was the publishing director behind the launch of TV Easy in 2005.

The appointments take effect from 1 February, when Meredith will join the IPC Media board. Both Dent and Meredith will report directly to Webster.
