Facebook profile provided key information for Derek Conway story

By Martin Stabe wirepost

Information provided by his son on Facebook led to the story of how Conservative MP Derek Freddie Conway had paid him as a researcher.

His son’s Freddie Conway’s profile on the social networking site proved that the was a full-time undergraduate at Newcastle University while he was being paid as a researcher by his father, the Times reports today.

The Times story also notes that 40 MPs from all three major parties count family members among their staff, a practice that is coming under closer scrutiny because of the Conway story.
