Ex-Clydebank Post editor returns to paper after 11 years

Former Clydebank Post editor Graham Crawford is returning to the paper after 11 years.

Crawford is one of two new senior editorial appointments at the Post’s publisher Clyde Weekly Press, according to a report on allmediascotland.com.

He has been appointed a regional editor “responsible for the management of content, production and presentation – both in print and online – of the Clydebank Post, Barrhead News and The Gazette, as well as any associated magazines or free titles”.

Emma Quigley, the other new editor, will have the same role at the Dumbarton and Vale of Leven Reporter and Helensburgh Advertiser.

Clyde Weekly Press managing editor Martin Little said: “I am confident that both Emma and Graham will cope with the challenges set by this demanding role, and I am certain that their colleagues will join with me in wishing them every success in these important positions.”

Crawford told allmediascotland.com: “Not surprisingly, I have been told I am Scotland’s most-travelled journalist.

“Previous titles I have worked for, in a loosely chronological order, include the Ayrshire Post, Irvine Herald, Stirling Observer (twice), Dumfries and Galloway Standard (twice), East Kilbride News, Rutherglen Reformer, Cumbernauld News (twice), the Daily Winner and the Falkirk Herald.”
