Editorial staff safe from job cuts at FT

By Press Gazette

Editorial jobs on the Financial Times will be safe in the impending round of redundancies, a spokeswoman for the paper said.

The job losses are a result of the advertising slump at the paper and at Pearson, the paper’s owner. They will be made in the advertising, IT and customer services departments as the UK and European teams merge.

FT advertising revenues fell by 18 per cent in the first half of this year.
