Vicky Mayer, launch editor of Natmags' real-life weekly Real People, has resigned, barely six months after its launch date.
A spokesman for the publisher said Mayer's decision to leave the title was based on a desire to "have a welldeserved holiday and then to work on other magazine projects".
Launched in January in an already crowded real-life market, Real People was backed by ACP-NatMag, the company's joint venture with Australian publisher ACP, which also publishes Best and Reveal.
It had a £6 million marketing budget and was based on 18 months of market research, including 40 focus groups and four separate dummies.
