Dyson bags Evening Mail job

By Press Gazette

By Dominic Ponsford
Editor of the Evening Gazette in Middlesbrough Steve Dyson has been given the top job at the Birmingham Evening Mail.
Both titles are owned by Trinity Mirror
which gave former Evening Mail editor Roger Borrell his marching orders
after a disastrous set of sales figures in March. Sales for the
last six months of 2004 were down 10.5 per cent to 96,143.
Contrastingly,
Dyson’s Evening Gazette has been the only big
metropolitan evening title to put on sales in recent years. In the
last round of ABCs it was up 0.5 per cent to 58,446.
