Dubai-based Gulf News prints holocaust denial piece

By paulmcnally

British journalists working on the Dubai-based English-language daily Gulf News have expressed their anger after the title published a comment piece in Sunday’s edition denying the holocaust took place.

The piece on “the Israeli annihilation of Gaza”, by Mohammad Abdullah Al Mutawa, begins: “Today, the whole world stands as a witness to the fact that the Nazi holocaust was a mere lie, which was devised by the Zionists to blackmail humanity.

“It is evident that the holocaust was a conspiracy hatched by the Zionists and Nazis, and many innocent people gave their lives as a result of this inhuman plot.

“Historians, researchers and conscientious people are aware of the role played by the Zionist movement and the prevailing forces of the first half of the 20th century in carrying out the bloody plot.”

One source close to the title, which distributes about 115,000 copies a day, told Press Gazette: “Brit hacks on the payroll are working on their CVs with vigour.”
