Award-winning investigative TV journalist Donal MacIntyre, known for his documentaries for BBC and Five, is to present Cancer Research’s charity Piccadilly 500 Ball.
The 37-year-old Irishman will give a speech and answer questions from the floor about his career exposing wrongdoing around the world.
He said: “I have met many truly inspirational people in my career in journalism, but I must admit to being in awe of scientists who dedicate their lives to finding a cure for cancer.”
The event will take place at the Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square, Mayfair on 14 May.
