A free tabloid newspaper has been launched for the Diocese of Sheffield.
Shine! has a 25,000 distribution in South Yorkshire.
There is a core of three editorial staff, including editor Rob Marshall, a reporter and a sub-editor.
Marshall runs the PR company 33RPM Public Relations, which also handles the PR for the Archbishop of York.
He has launched a number of similar titles for diocese in London, and occasionally reports for the BBC.
Thanks to funding from advertisers, the 20-page newspaper has been produced at no cost to the diocese.

James Pieslak said: “As people start to send in letters with differing
opinions I am sure there will be some good debates going on in the
paper.”
As well as churches, Shine! is being distributed to
prisons, hospitals, universities and schools and hopes to reach a
readership of 60,000.
The next issue is due out in November and in 2006 the paper hopes to become quarterly.
The new paper also has a website: www.sheffield.anglican.org/shine.
