David Dinsmore is the new editor of The Scottish Sun.
He takes over on Sunday from Rob Dalton who has been appointed to a major development role within News International.
Dinsmore is currently night editor at the Sun’s London HQ at Wapping.
Rob Dalton has been appointed head of editorial development, to oversee News International’s move to full-colour printing, beginning in Scotland, at Eurocentral in Lanarkshire, in May next year. It will subsequently be extended to Hertfordshire in England and Kells in Ireland.
The Scotland print plant is part of a £650 million investment by News International in its UK titles – the biggest investment of its type in the world.
