DeLaurian resigns from Bauer’s psychic titles

By Press Gazette

Elayne DeLaurian has resigned as group editor of Bauer’s psychic
lifestyle titles, Spirit & Destiny and Take a Break’s Fate &
Fortune.

DeLaurian previously edited News International’s Know
Your Destiny
under Judy McGuire and was deputy editor at Best
under Louise Court.

She approached Bauer with the idea for the
two titles after Know Your Destiny closed in 2001 and within three
months Fate & Fortune was launched, with Spirit & Destiny going
on sale nine months later.

“It’s been a brilliant, exciting
time driving the two titles to success, carving out a new, dynamic
section of the women’s market. I’m proud of what we’ve achieved and
though I feel sad to be leaving behind two great magazines and a
fantastic team, now I want to move on to new challenges,” said
DeLaurian.
