Daily Mail editor-in-chief Paul Dacre will deliver the 2008 Society of Editors lecture to open the group’s annual conference in November.
Dacre will open a conference which this year has the title: ‘Digital Heaven or Digital Hell?”
The conference will be based at the Marriott Royal Hotel in Bristol between 9 and 11 November.
Dacre will deliver his lecture on the evening of Sunday 9 November on board Brunel’s steamship the SS Great Britain.
SoE president Simon Bucks, the associate editor of Sky News, said: ‘Paul Dacre is a towering figure in the UK media.
‘Paul’s insight and vision will provide the backdrop for another agenda-setting conference that has become a hub of media discussion and one of the major events in the media calendar.”
This year’s conference will investigate the continuing development of converged media across print, broadcasting and online.
