Craig Evry The Weakest Link

By Press Gazette

Reporter Craig Evry from the Wiltshire Times lost out to a singing housewife when he appeared on quiz show The Weakest Link.

Not only did Evry, 25, have to come to terms with just missing the £10,000 first prize but he also had to face being on the receiving end of host Anne Robinson’s acerbic wit.

Robinson, whose Fleet Street career has spanned the Daily Mail, Daily Mirror, Sunday Times and Daily Telegraph, suggested that by the age of 25 Evry should already be working for a national tabloid.

Evry narrowly missed out on the top prize after making it to the final two contestants.

Despite Robinson’s on-air digs, Evry said she redressed the balance by chatting at the end of filming, when she said he had done his paper proud.
