CNN has poached three journalists from UK rivals Sky News and ITV, as it beefs up its London newsgathering team, with the appointment of a new senior planning editor and four assignment editors.
Roger Clark, a producer on Sky News’ 10pm bulletin and Katie Turner, a night programme editor have joined CNN as assignment editors.
Nicola Goulding, head of production at the ITV’s Millbank Studios production department, has been appointed as CNN’s crew co-ordinator.
And three members of CNN’s current London-based editorial team have been given new roles.
Newsroom producers Sarah Sultoon and Andrew Carey have been promoted to newsgathering assignment editors and Gaven Morris has now been elevated to senior planning editor. The larger team falls under the command of Nick Wrenn.
