Steve Bagshaw, above, editor of Emap Healthcare’s magazine Therapy Weekly, is leaving to become editor of Housing Today, writes Ruth Addicott.
Therapy Weekly deputy editor Nina Lovelace will take over as editor – just four years after training as a journalist.
Lovelace, who is a trained civil engineer, joined sister title New Civil Engineer in 2000, where she was given her first taste of journalism. She moved up to become senior reporter on NCE before joining Therapy Weekly 12 months ago as news editor.
“Obviously I’m really excited and keen to get involved in the challenges. We did a relaunch last year so a lot of what was wrong has been fixed,” she said.
Bagshaw has been editor of Therapy Weekly for 16 months, having previously been news editor on Plastics and Rubber Weekly and a reporter on International Freighting Weekly. He replaces Housing Today’s former editor Denise Chevin, who quit to become editor of Building.
Commenting on his plans for Housing Today, Bagshaw said: “It was relaunched 18 months ago so I don’t think there are plans for a relaunch. There are a couple of vacancies, so it will be a priority to fill those.”
