Women's monthly Candis is looking for a new editor after its current incumbent announced her intention to retire.
Candis editor Jenny Campbell, 68, has signalled her desire to retire from the subscription-based women's monthly, where she has been editor for seven years.
Campbell said the timescale for her departure is not finalised and the exact date will depend on finding "the right person" to take over the job.
Candis holds a unique position in the women's monthly market — being subscription-based with a circulation of 301,114, according to the last ABCs figure.
The 47-year-old magazine evolved from a newsletter distributed door-to-door with football pools coupons. Its founder Joseph Douglas made a decision to donate some of its profits to charity after his son died from cancer.
Now, 10 per cent of income goes to Marie Curie Cancer Care, the British Heart Foundation and many smaller organisations. Last year marked the 50 millionth pound raised for charitable causes by the magazine.
Campbell has enjoyed a lengthy career in journalism dating back to the early 1960s, writing for titles as diverse as Vogue, The Sun and Radio Times.
