Property title Homes Overseas has done a tie-up with Hodder Education to help its readers learn French and Spanish.
Owner Blendon Communications is hoping the move will increase sales.
The September issue will feature a CD cover mount offering readers an introduction to Spanish, followed by a CD dedicated to French with the October issue.
Homes Overseas has also switched to a “super-size” format and is set to publish its biggest issue to date with its September issue – featuring 212 pages and a special bound-in supplement on the Costa Blanca.
Ian Cunningham, managing director, Blendon Communications’ publishing division, said consumers were no longer satisfied with buying a property abroad. “They want to buy into the lifestyle as well, and that includes learning the local language,” he added.
Blendon Communications also publishes Viva Espana, What House? and Show House.
