The former business editor of the Edinburgh Evening News, Gillian Law, has been made an account manager at Acumen PR.
Law
previously worked for three years as a senior correspondent for the
international technology newswire, IDG News Service, and spent a year
at Components in Electronics , published by Newsquest Specialist Media.
Before
this she was a reporter in New Zealand on Computerworld, and was a
staff writer for three years on Management New Zealand and New Zealand
Forest Industries .
She said: “I hope to be able to use my
experience of the media, and knowledge of what journalists want and
need, to help Acumen as it grows.”
Acumen PR is run by consultants Kevin Dorrian and Alistair McLean from offices in Edinburgh.
