As I reported here the other week, Financial Times whizzkid Charlie Pretzlik is to leave the companies desk in the coming weeks to earn his crust as an investment banker at JP Morgan Cazenove.
The move took his colleagues by surprise and the higher-ups are said to be sad to see him go.
But one lowlier desk-type tells me: “He’s going to have to get rid of some of his shoes before he moves to the Square Mile. He has a propensity to wear those loafers, favoured by hedge-fund junkies, but Cazenove won’t like that at all.”
Don’t say you haven’t been warned, Pretzl.
