BBC Scotland has already sold its £130m new Glasgow headquarters for £129m before the property has even been built. Set to house 1,200 staff, it is due for completion in July 2007.
A consortium of private investors have grouped together to buy bonds in the building at Pacific Quay, while a number of institutions have also invested in a securitisation deal arranged by Barclays Capital.
BBC Scotland will lease back the building from the bondholders on an initial 30-year lease.
