Future has unveiled the cover and team behind its new monthly music magazine Bang.
Named after the legendary Rolling Stone and Creem rock journalist Lester Bangs, the title is hoping to create a niche for itself as a “rock’n’roll bible” and has secured journalists from Loaded, Q, Kerrang!, Mojo, Metal Hammer, The Independent on Sunday and Melody Maker. Former Loaded journalist John Doran is news editor and Simon Price, ex-Melody Maker writer and music critic for The Independent on Sunday, is features editor. Dan Silver, former Q and Metal Hammer writer and associate editor on Kerrang!, is reviews editor and Mike Elliot from Total Film is art editor. Maria Jeffris (ex-Uncut) is picture editor and contributors include Neil Kulkarni, Andrew Mueller, Simon Reynolds, Taylor Parkes and David Bennun.
Bang is edited by co-founders Crispin Parry and Danny Ford. Future hopes it will achieve a sale of 50,000.
