UK business to business publisher Centaur this morning revealed revenue up 15 per cent to £27.5m year on year for the six months to the end of December.
The publisher of titles including The Lawyer, Marketing Week and Money Marketing reported advertising revenue up 17 per cent year on year and recruitment advertising up 31 per cent in the marketing and legal division.
Adjusted profits (the before tax, depreciation and exceptional items figure) was £1.2m for the period, compared with a break-even position in the same period a year ago. Centaur reported a pre-tax loss of £1.6m for the period.
The Legal and Financial division reported a 33 per cent increase in revenues compared with the first half of the year (brands include: The Lawyer, Money Marketing, Fund Strategy).
The Marketing and Creative division increased revenue by 18 per cent to £6.5m in the period (brands include Marketing Week and Design Week).
Centaur said today that it was ‘confident that the steady recovery in our markets will continue and trading for the remainder of the financial year is forecast to be in line with the board’s expectations”.
