B magazine is seeking eight members of staff to complete its new line-up following the appointment of editor Frances Sheen.
Deputy editor Sarah Maber is leaving to join the features desk on sister title Red so Sheen is recruiting a new deputy and a staff writer.
B is also recruiting staff for its art department following the departures of art editor Niki Funnell and junior designer Michelle Pinto, who both quit to go freelance last year.
The post of managing editor across the Hachette-owned titles B and Red has been created as a result of Andrew Falconer’s internal move from managing editor of B and Elle to Elle and Elle Deco. B is also looking for a picture editor, deputy production editor, picture researcher and a writer.
Sheen was hired last month amid plans to improve sales and turn B into a serious rival to Company. Sheen aims to strengthen its coverage of high street fashion and improve its celebrity contacts.
