Are wages included in PA job swaps?

By Axegrinder axeblog

It’s musical chairs time at Press Association. According to the company’s internal newsletter, PA is about to launch a new scheme called Job Swaps whereby any two employees swap jobs for a week.

“Under this scheme employees are able to apply to swap jobs with a colleague in another department or location to learn more about their job,” said the HR person.

“We are hoping that there will be benefits for both staff and the company, including enhanced communications and problem solving across the group plus the opportunity for further career development.

“A job swap will last up to one week and you will be required to write a review of your experiences at the end.”

PA hacks were no doubt wondering if swapping with editor-in-chief Tony Watson would see them pocket a nice pay rise, too.
