News reaches Axegrinder that the Daily Telegraph legal editor Joshua Rozenberg has resigned.
When I try to telephone him to find the real story behind it all, I’m reliably informed by his answering machine that he’s on holiday until the end of this month.
However, one source at Telegraph Plaza in Victoria tells me: “Like so many others, he’s really fed up with the newsdesk.”
Despite this, I understand that Rozenberg, formerly with the BBC, is going to continue doing his law page on a freelance basis, but will no longer be answerable to the newsdesk.
